The 2026 Program Youth Summer Employment Program Has Ended

Thank you to all of the youth, families, employers, community partners, and organizations who participated in Chicago Youth Works 2026.

Through Chicago Youth Works, young people gained meaningful summer work experiences, mentorship, career exploration, and valuable skills to help prepare them for their future.

We are proud of the young people who participated and grateful to the employers and community partners who helped make these experiences possible.

Youth: Sign Up for Chicago Youth Works

Are you ready to take the next step in your career journey? The One Summer Chicago program offers youth ages 14-24 the chance to gain real-world work experience, connect with mentors, and develop skills that will help you succeed in the workforce.

  • Eligibility: Youth aged 14-24 can apply.

  • Work Hours: Youth can work up to 20 hours per week

  • Mentorship & Learning: Interns will receive valuable mentorship and hands-on experience, helping them develop both professional skills and life skills.

Youth Sign-Up Requirements

Before signing up for One Summer Chicago, please ensure you have the following documents ready:

  1. Valid ID: A state-issued ID or school ID.

  2. Social Security Number (SSN): Required for employment and payroll processing.

  3. Bank Account Information: To set up direct deposit for your wages. Make sure you have an active bank account in your name for this purpose.

These documents are necessary to ensure that you are eligible for participation in the program and that we can process your payments correctly.
